Proj Review:
I replaced my aging Panny PT AE 900 after the Auto-Iris servo started to chatter and the bulb was about to die. For 2x the price of a repair and new bulb, I bought a new 8350. I am very pleased.
The 8350 is significantly brighter and sharper than the 900, and at full brightness, is very watchable in a room with all the lights on. That was the big reason I bought it and it was worth it. I can watch it on my 120 inch screen in full light with the windows open. Sweet! The pic is sharp and clear, no screen door or pixellation.

Being a nit picker, I do have these comments:
- Its 2x the size and weight of the Panny, I had to re-do my brackets and shelf for it. so be aware...
- the Auto Iris is a bit slow and noisy. you can hear it move in a silent room.
- No digital keystone adjustments. Placement is more tricky than with the Panny 900,but the lens shift helps a lot.
- Its a bit pokey when changing from SD to HD CATV channels, but so is everyone else...

So these are trivial considering the price of $1200-$1300. Its a hell of a bargain compared to the Panny 4000. Stop reading now and go out and buy it, it's that good! you know you want it!

The special E-TORL design minimizes both light diffraction and light leakage, providing you the ultimate in lamp longevity.

This projector is outstanding. The quality of the image is unsurpassed in its class and probably the next class up. One overlooked feature is the lense shift. There are no digital image manipulation controls on this projector. As long as the lense is parallel to the screen, the lense-shift will make sure it is centered. Optical lense shift is a feature usually only found on high end projectors. This projector replaced my InFocus X1 which lasted over 7 years (and is still going strong). No regrets!

BTW: ADVANCITY is scamming you with the list price of $2422.30. It is sold by Epson (MSRP) for $1299.00 and the street price is typically $1199.00. Buy it from someone else!
